OUR MISSION
Our mission is to increase the effectiveness of the Seattle Public Schools board of directors in order to create the enabling conditions for Seattle’s public schools to achieve this vision. Research shows that effective and stable governance is a core factor in improving student success. We seek sustained excellent leadership at the school board, superintendent and central office levels in order to yield long-term vision, strategies and sustainable spending on priorities that improve student learning and life outcomes.
HOW WE CAN START
There is not a simple policy or investment that will increase the percentage of students graduating from Seattle Public Schools prepared for a career or post-secondary education. However, together, we can start by:
